Lilith: The Gentleman Goddess

Lilith is my anima/us. The embodiment of wholeness, integrity, sensuality, and transformative power.

If you ever encounter her in the bedroom, you’d better be prepared!

Lilith will be your main contact for my sensitivity reading and diversity consult services. Brutally honest and with an eye for atomic precision; Lilith knows what’s what.

What is a Sensitivity Reader?

A sensitivity reader reads through a manuscript for issues of representation and for instances of bias on the page. The goal of a sensitivity reader isn’t to edit a manuscript clarity and logic, although that may be an additional service offered. A sensitivity reader reviews a manuscript for internalized bias and negatively charged language. A sensitivity reader is there to help make sure you do not make a mistake, but they are also NOT a guarantee against making a mistake…

Sensitivity readers can help you identify problematic language and internalized bias on the page when writing outside of your experiences. This is not a guarantee that others will not have issues with your work. But it is a way to attempt to catch and correct high level issues prior to submission or publication. – From Write in the Margins

As a minority of marginalized minorities, tap into my unique insight and education for your novels, scripts, or even your nonfiction!

I’ll conduct a sensitivity reading on your work, paying special attention to diversity, dynamic characters, trauma-informed approach, accuracy in detail (such as in sex or biology), stereotypes/tropes, and more.

Topics I’m partial to:

  • polyamory
  • queerness (in any sense of the word but especially bisexuality, genderqueerness, asexual and aromantic folks!)
  • intersex/sexual variation
  • people of color/Black people
  • scifi
  • fantasy
  • BDSM
  • paranormal
  • erotica/arotica/romance/aromance(as in aromantic or asexual)
  • philosophy
  • disability (especially chronic pain)/mental illness/neurodivergence
  • trauma or metanoia

Even if you don’t see your topic listed, rest assured my interests are legion! If you have any questions about whether or not I’ll be interested in doing a sensitivity reading for your work, please contact me.
